About Facade
Adorned with exposed brick, low lighting and mingling Los Angelitos, Facade lounge is a new face on an old scene. Formerly known as the popular Ivar club, Facade is reminiscent of a 60's-style New York retro Loft. The inside is chic, swanky and very pleasing to the eye, but it's nothing L.A. hasn't seen before. The music is pretty good. It focuses mainly on hip-hop, but you'll still get the random indie song thrown into the mix. The drinks are pretty good, but they're quite expensive. When it fist opened, Facade was on the club A-list, but it has since slowed down. On certain nights it still brings in the crowd, but its a far cry from some of the big-wig clubs located less than a mile down the road. It's a decent stop on a night out, but many say that it was better before the face-lift.
