About Bar Lulu
The newly opened Bar Lulu is a spin-off of the highly successful Café Lulu in Bayview. It's a spacious place decorated in a style that manages to mix both kitsch and high art into a relaxing place for hipsters in their late 20s and early 30s to meet. Lamps which appear to be borrowed from some '60s television sitcom hang from the ceiling illuminate large pieces of art adorning the walls. Unlike the crowded Café Lulu, it's easy to move around Bar Lulu without knocking down someone's drink. Bar Lulu is similar in feel to other Bay View hipster hangouts like the Palomino, but with better lighting and better food, and orders can be placed from the adjoining café until 10PM. With a solid wine selection, exotic drink choices and reasonable prices, Bar Lulu stands to become a successful Bayview hotspot like its older neighbor. -- Michael Carey
