About Kay's
An American Legion Post complete with the typical pub amenities and skeletal food offerings, this is your standard democratic locals' tavern. While it's not usually as crowded as the night we arrived, it's frequent use as a site for parties and gatherings can really pack 'em in. If you want to gather an intimate bunch of scattered friends for any reason without cleaning your house, you can usually book an American Legion Post without worrying about availability or too much interference from huge local crowds. They're generally a great deal compared to some other venues; the food, drinks and entertainment are built right in. No one minds if you bring a band along, either. -- Christina Sarlos
