About Mall of America Entertainment District

There are nine bars and restaurants that make up the megamall's fourth floor entertainment district, and, incidentally, there's something for everyone. Clubs, sports bars, restaurants, a bowling alley and a piano bar make up this hub of entertainment. You'll find places with names like Gators, Hooter's, Jillian's Hi-Life Lanes, and the four-bar America Live!, which includes its namesake, Flashbaxx, Lt'l Ditty's and America's Original Sports Bar. Each bar offers its own unique style: '70s music, a boxing ring made for dancing, video games, pool tables and bands. For many suburbanites -- particularly those in south-of-the-river suburbs like as Eagan, Bloomington, Burnsville and Apple Valley -- this is some kind of hot spot. Some local and long-distance clubbers choose to rent rooms at a handful of hotels, and use the free shuttles to and from the Mall of America and its clubs. The Entertainment District offers an evening out drinking and dancing with no cold weather, no coat and, most importantly, no driving. -- Sarah Tieck
