About Shubert Theatre
From the time this theatre opened in 1914, it has come a long way. Broadway musicals, highly acclaimed plays, world-renowned operas, dance performances, concerts ... The Shubert Theatre has seen it all. Katharine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy and Gene Kelly are a few of the greats who once performed here. It feautures artists from all corners of the globe as well as promotes fresh local talent. Warren Beatty, Shirley MacLaine and John Travolta are others who have graced this theatre with their presence. The theatre also boasts of being the steppingstone for the former First Lady, Nancy Reagan. In its effort to promote the performing arts, it has given complimentary tickets to seniors as well as families, who can't afford a ticket. So, make sure you visit this non-profit theatre and support its efforts.
