About Back Door Theater
n a space located behind the Common Grounds Coffee House, this theater is the home of two theater groups in Portland (Sowelu and The Other Side), both known for their imaginative and innovative interpretations of plays written for the stage. Local critics praise the shows given by these groups, saying they inject rejuvenating work into Portland's theater scene. The performances are much more intimate than dramas set on the stage of a large auditorium. Because seating is limited, it is best to call for reservations. Admission: $8-$15.
