In the fall of 2005, Chef Shannon Galusha and Managing Partner Erik Lindstrom opened Veil in the Uptown neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. Working with local architecture firm, Arai Jackson, Galusha and Lindstrom created a sleek, modern, intimate interior that provides urban sophistication, serene elegance, and world-class cuisine. Their vision is to offer a restaurant and lounge where innovative tastes, sights, and sounds come together as one.
Veil is a place where every detail in food, service, and materials are treated with a five-star mentality. The name Veil is in reference to concealing beauty, then revealing it to guests once they enter. The windows are draped in white, gauzy panels, giving passerbys only a glimpse of what lies within.
Veil is in the heart of the edgiest neighborhood in Seattle, which includes countless new retail openings, upscale housing developments and a burgeoning nightlife scene. It is also walking distance to the brand new McCaw Hall Opera House, Key Arena, Seattle Ballet and theatre district.
