About House of Tricks Restaurant
Nestled just steps from Mill Avenue, House of Tricks is hidden inside two turn-of-the-century homes, behind a romantic vine-strewn courtyard. Eclectic new American menus and extensive wine list. Events become treasured memories at House of Tricks, a legendary "little out-of-the-way place" nestled amid trees and gardens near Tempe's Mill Avenue. Outside catering available. Private dinning area or patios can accomodate 35-75 guests; semi private dinning areas can accomodate 15-20 guest.

The House of Tricks opened in 1987 in a small 1920's cottage just 1&1/2 blocks off the hustle and bustle of Mill Avenue in Downtown Tempe. The house has a cozy interior with twelve tables and an old stone fireplace built with local river rock. An outdoor patio incorporates a canopy of grapevines and the ambiance of a residential neighborhood.

In 1994, the house next door was purchased and restored to its turn-of-the-centuryfeel.This brick and adobe styled house was originally built in 1903. The inside was just recently renovated in order to accomodate more seating and larger parties.

A wooden deck and outdoor patio bar built in the area between the houses visually link the two properties together, providing a comfortable space for guests to meet after work or pre-dinner cocktail. A temperature and humidity controlled cellar holds over 2,500 bottles of carefully selected wines, offering guests a perfect bottle everytime.

In addition to the restaurant and bar, Tricks continues its' original mission as a catering company for corporate and private events, both on and off premise. Tricks will even open its doors on Sundays for the occasional weddings and receptions.

The Tricks lunch menu includes many types of salads, homemade soups, hot and cold sandwiches and daily specials. The dinner menu takes advantage of seasonally fresh ingredients and includes fresh seafood, poultry, and fine meats, as well as a variety of vegetarian selections.

Bar open Mon through Wed 11AM to 11PM
Thurs through Sat 11AM to 1AM
