About Andy Poolhall
While many nightclubs might include a pool table or two on the premises, they are often poorly maintained afterthoughts. Not so at Andy Poolhall, where the five red-felt covered tables are considered a central element to the nightclub's sense of sociability. Andy Poolhall also features a deeply 60s-inspired lounge area and a good-sized open space to get down upon while listening to any one of Andy Poolhall's array of local "superstar" DJs. Andy DJs want to entertain and educate and generally blow your mind, playing ground-breaking cutting-edge beats. Requests are generally looked upon lukewarmly, and calls for "Britney" or "Jennifer" will be actively ignored.

The decor here - a stylized tribute to arty 1960's modernism - demands attention. Much of the club is soaked in deep red, with splashes of purple, turquoise, black and white. Pleather chairs have been fashioned into trippy, bubbly shapes that are surprisingly comfortable to sit on. Once of the lounge's set pieces is a row of black and red chairs designed by Pierre Paulin of Paris for the first-class Concorde departure lounge at JFK International Airport in New York City.

Embracing Toronto's multi-cultural flavour, Andy Poolhall cannot be defined in simple terms such as gay or straight, black or white, suburban or scenester - Andy's caters to the enlightened club-goer who rejects labels and stereotypes, and respects everyone's right to have a good time. Here, you are all VIPs!
