It's late and you're wandering around Granville trying to find a bus. You look down Smithe Street only to see a giant lineup rounding the corner. It's not a car crash; it's Gorgomish. Tucked away off the Granville strip, Gorgomish is one of the few legal after-hours clubs in the city. For clubbers who can't handle the 3 a.m. shut-downs, it's their final home for the evening. Drawing from the best of the local DJ community to soundtrack the passage into the early morning, the club's unique design and blistering sound system have it ranked up there with some of the best in Canada. International DJ talent such as Kiyoshi Shimizu and Hernan Catteano are lining up to provide partiers with the kind of experience found in clubs in Europe. Whether it's the Red Bull slurpee machine or the Phazon sound system, people keep coming back and are happily primed till the wee hours.
