About Shinjuku Pit Inn

The Shinjuku Pit Inn is the heart of the Japanese jazz scene. It is more mainstream than progressive and frequently host to some of the giants of Japanese Jazz, such as Sadao Nabesada Watanabe and Terumasa Hino, as well as top-class visiting musicians. It has an afternoon session that runs from 2pm to 5pm, with young up and coming players. Doors open again at 7pm for the main show, which starts at 7:30pm.One drink is usually included in the entrance fee, and snacks such as sandwiches and toasted cheese are reasonably priced.
