About Notting Hill Arts Club

This is one of the most successfully eclectic clubs in the whole of the land with nights ranging from funky latino breaks (Thu & Sat) to full on hip hop (Fri) to McGee & Watson’s legendary Wednesday night DeathDisco which incorporates live rock bands with DJs spinning what would seem to be your entire record collection. Loved by celebs – Courtney Love recently DJ’d here and the delectable Kate, Sadie et al. are regulars – and students alike, if you want to understand the true Notting Hill, forget Hugh Grant bumbling about with Julia Robert’s booty, this is it.

Pricey but always fun, this subterranean dive in the heart of trendy West London enjoys a steady crowd and on big nights it gets absolutely packed with trendy young things. The Arts Club is the definition of expensive fun. You won’t want to leave.

The dangerously tasty circular bar overlooks one room equipped with dozens of comfy chairs and tables. Rising from a comfortable chat you can hit the dance floor in the next door room which is basically dominated by a huge, crisp sound rig. The music policy is commendably eclectic and you’re as likely to hear Hip Hop as House. Whatever happens you are sure to enjoy the ‘NIHAC’ as it is known by locals. An all round good bet for a big night in a small place.

Best Night: Monday. Crazy time to go drinking, but never mind, these guys don’t!

"The NHAC has room for a small stage for live bands, a few old battered sofas for lounging around and a dark enough dance floor that’s perfect for forgetting all your inhibitions." Elle Magazine
