Located just two blocks from Union Square, The Cellar has built its reputation as one of San Francisco's favorite bars and nightclubs since it opened its doors almost ten years ago. Completing a full two-year renovation in 2002, the space has been revamped and upgraded with comfortable seating, a wrap-around bar and state-of-the-art lighting & sound technology.

The Cellar can easily accommodate up to 300 guests, however our intimate seating arrangements offer you the privacy & space you might need for a break from the crowd. We are available for private events as well, frequently renting out the entire club or merely partial for groups from 25-300. Combined with our space next door at Sugar Cafe, we can accommodate up to 500 people.

The Cellar offers a wide selection of draft & bottled beers, and our bartenders are happy to shake up one your favorite cocktails or to recommend a new one. Our extremely generous happy hour pricing is back, with many beers starting at $2 and well drinks starting at $4. Check out our brand new pool table and game machine! Stop by Monday - Friday 5pm-9pm to wind down from a hectic day at school or work and take advantage of these unbeatable prices!
