Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario music was always a major part of my life and identity. I found hip hop in the late 80's and it really opened up the world of music. After all, Hamilton was not quite Brooklyn, Bronx, Philly or Compton (but it does have its edge) but I could not get enough of the rhymes or beats!
I found myself more interested in the DJ aspect of music though. I loved the art of turntabilism. But, being a white kid in Hamilton, I did not see my place in the actual music scene, more as an observer.
Fast forward 18 years. Living in Vancouver, my true love was hip hop, but I was introduced to house music in the early 2000's. My wife put on an Ibiza summer session mix and that created this beast...!
